QR stands
for Quick Response. These codes were created so that a person would be able to
access information quickly. It is very common to see these QR codes
everywhere such as on a business card, in magazines, on a billboard, on a
webpage, even on a t-shirt. They have several different uses such as directing
a person to a website, a Youtube video, Google Maps Location, telephone number,
wifi login, email address, and digital business card.
Making a
QR code is very simple! There are websites such as QR Stuff or Kaywa, and they
will generate a QR code image for you after to give some information on what
you want the QR code to do. They don’t have to be plain and generic compared to
every single QR code a majority of people see. As you saw mine above, colors
could be customized, or you can use online resources to customize a QR code
even further to make it more unique.
As mobile
technology continues to progress, QR codes will continue to progress as well
because a majority people these days have a smartphone. With a smartphone, you
could easily download a QR code reader in a minute or so, and be up and ready
to scan QR codes everywhere!
