The Resistance Has Fallen

The tyranny of the Imperial Empire had been too much for the citizens of the empire. One day, a group of people finally had the guts to stand up to the Imperial Empire and create the resistance. The members of the resistance were Phong, Nirav, Justin, Kevin, Josh, Su, and Kris.

The resistance prepared their weapons for the future missions to come in order to overthrow the Imperial Empire. After several months of preparation, we had enough guns to go around. There were many vital missions we had to complete for the empire to be overthrow, but unfortunately we could not take everyone on the same mission. Certain missions required less people to go on so that the empire could remain deceived, or so we thought. All of us knew there was a chance that the empire has already infiltrated us and would purposely cause us to fail the mission. To counteract that, we agreed that everyone would have a chance to become a squad leader and choose their team for a mission as long as a majority of the resistance agreed. It wasn't perfect, but if there were spies, it would be easier to not pick them or allow them to become squad leaders.
Our first mission only had room for two people to go on it. Justin was the first squad leader and decided to go on the mission with Nirav. Everyone agreed that us two on the mission was acceptable. As we went out on our mission to acquire more intelligence on what were the politics behind the empire, we were quite successful. We found out that the empire knew about the resistance and when it was formed. This piece of information was vital because we knew there was a high chance that spies could have infiltrated us already.

Unfortunately, the mission felt too easy. Could the spies really have left us pass the mission so easily since they had the option to? We were afraid for our second mission. We thought our second mission should be to gain more ammo for our guns. This time we need to bring at least three people onto the mission.

It was Nirav's turn to be a squad leader. He decided to take Phong and and Kris onto the mission. The resistance agreed that the team was an acceptable team to take on a simple mission. Three people carrying back ammo should be plenty for us. If we already able to complete this mission, we just need to complete one more mission to completely overthrow the empire. Unfortunately, Nirav's mission become a failure.
We knew there was at least one spy on Nirav's squad. We do not know who it was, but we hope to figure it out so that the spy does not focus us to fail anymore missions. For our third mission, we hoped to attempt to gain ammo again. This time Kris was squad leader, and he decided to take Su and Kevin onto the mission. We still were not sure who the spy could have been between Nirav, Phong and Josh, but we hoped that we would be more successful on the mission. Everyone approved for the team to go through on this mission. Unfortunately, we failed a second failure. We were one failure away from completely failing to overthrow the empire.

Our fourth mission was a very difficult one. It required four people to go on it and if two spies were on the mission, then both of them could force the fail. If only one spy is on the mission, then we could still succeed. We attempted this fourth mission hoping to see another success and worrisome to see if two spies were on this mission. Kris was the new squad leader and chose Kevin, Su and Josh to go on the mission with him. If any of the people he chose were both spies or if he was a spy himself, the efforts of the resistance would be wasted. As the resistance voted to approve the team for mission, it seemed to be good enough for everyone to be happy with it. Finally, the mission was over. Two spies were on the mission and the resistance failed to overthrow the empire. It was a difficult journey for the resistance, but the empire succeeded in staying in power for now.
