Final Project: Boba Master [Alpha]

Lumberjack Challenge
Boba Master is a based off of a game known as the Lumberjack Challenge. The people involved in the making of Boba Master are my teammates Avi and Nirav, as well as myself. The mechanics between Boba Master and Lumberjack Challenge are very similar. You are holding an item of some sort (straw versus an axe), and your goal is to hit the correct items (white boba cup versus a log). A person will have three lives and attempt to go for the longest streak possible.

Boba Master [Alpha]
Currently, the alpha version of Boba Master uses the spacebar on the keyboard to allow the player to poke a straw into a cup. White boba cups will allow the player to gain a single point. Red cups will cause users player to lose a single life. Missing a white boba cup will also cause the user to lose a life.

The idea of losing lives is to prevent the player from poking into the wrong cup. The art work for the red cup will be changed in the future to make it more obvious that the user should not poke into it. The idea of losing a life from missing a white boba cup might be removed because it seems a bit unfair to aim for perfection.

Next steps for Boba Master are the following:
  • Fix the cup's size. In the picture above, the cup is very small, which can make it difficult to see.
  • Decrease amount of time for player to poke cup. This is to make it more challenging for the player.
  • Update red cup to more obvious object so that player does not poke wrong item
  • Display score and lives in a better manner
  • Update background
